Cy Duck (Best Duck Pitcher)
Danny Graves: 2.55 ERA, 18 saves, .248 average against, 19K’s, All-Star
The Ducks pitching staff has been struggling as a whole the entire first half. Their team ERA is 5.21 and Graves is the only pitcher on the team with over 30 innings who has an ERA under four. Graves has saved 18 games in 19 chances and has pitched as well as he did when he was a two-time All-Star for the Cincinnati Reds. With the rest of the pitching staff struggling so much it’s good to know that when the Ducks take a lead into the ninth they’ll most likely leave the field with a win.
While this award could easily go to the whole Ducks pitching staff, it goes to the worst of the Ducks’ relievers. Going into the season it was expected Erdos would be one of the main stays in the Ducks bullpen, but to put it nicely he has been down right horrible. He has given up 27 earned runs in 25 innings and has a 2.2 WHIP. If the Ducks want a chance to win the second half North Division, Erdos and the bullpen needs to step it up.
Second half prediction:
The Ducks pitching staff will kick it up and the hitters will continue their hot swinging. Ducks win the North Division.
